Virtual Quilt Retreat 2026 with a Special Guest, Joanne Gray

We are excited to have a special guest educator, Joanne Gray, be a part of our virtual quilt retreat! She is a Deb Tucker Studio 180 expert and will show us the wonders of Deb Tucker's Sudio 180 rulers. We invite you to learn how practical these rulers are. What I like about these rulers is that with one ruler, you are able to make many different sized blocks! You don't have to buy a ruler for every size block you want to make, like some ruler brands.
This time you will be able to select what items you would like to include in your Goodie Box by personally selecting what you would like to include. For our group project, we are making the Bread and Butter Table Runner. I have made 9 different kits for you to choose from. The first 48 people that sign up for the retreat will also receive some extra goodies!
Here is my newsletter with all the details for the retreat, bundles and supplies needed. Click HERE. We won't be mailing out the retreat items until March 1st. (sorry, the pattern for the table runner is not included as reported in this newsletter)
DEADLINE FOR SIGN UP IS 2/28/2026!
We use Zoom as our platform for our virtual retreats and you will get a link a day or two before the start of retreat. We will have introductions to see where everyone is from, and we will have fun and games as well as Show & Tall. It's fun to visit with you all while we sew, so invite your sewing friends. It doesn't matter where they live.
- No packing up your heavy machine!
- No losing stuff!
- Sleep in your own bed!
- Save your gas money and buy fabric and fun stuff instead!
You won't want to miss this! If you don't know Deb Tucker & her Studio 180 rulers, here is a link to her YouTube for the Tucker Trimmer we will be using in our group project.

| Instructor Bio: | My mother was a tailor, so she taught me to sew when I was very young. However, garment sewing wasn’t for me. I knew my grandmother made quilts and since I’m an engineer, I figured quilting would be more my thing. I made my first quilt in 1986 (it was a disaster) and my first miniature quilt in 1993 (success!) and have had a passion for quilting ever since! In 2002 I started entering my quilts in both regional and national competitions and have won several awards. My wall quilt “Midnight Snowfall” was accepted as a semi-finalist at AQS Grand Rapids 2019 as was “Trees Bearing Trees” in 2023. I do make some bigger quilts but most of my quilts hang on walls. My passion for quilting evolved into designing quilt patterns and teaching. My specialties are miniature quilts and working with striped fabric and I have lots of tricks to help students be successful with precise peicing. I use a lot of Studio 180 rulers because they work well with tiny blocks as well as big blocks. |
