#SEWPINK by Annie - Breast Cancer Awareness Sew-a-thon
Oct 2 is our regularly scheduled Open Sew, but this time we are going to be joining the good people at byAnnie.com for a Breast Cancer Awareness Sew-a-thon. I will be offering 20% off all pink fabric used for this cause on that day, or bring your own fabric. We encourage our customers to come and sew that day and make some byAnnie Bosom Buddies! We all have friends who have or are suffering with this diagnosis. We want to help the cause!
The #SewPink Sew-a-thon will be live on YouTube and Facebook from 2:00 - 8:00 MOUNTAIN TIME which is 4:00 - 10:00 Eastern. We will stream the first 2 hours at Time Flies Quilt and Sew. We will close at 6:00 pm.
I have created two time slots so we can accommodate more people. There will be a four hour Morning Shift and a four hour Afternoon Shift. Sign up for whatever works for you. The cost is $5 to keep count of the number of seats available for our sew-a-thon and will be used as a donation to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. If we have 16 sewists that day attend the sew-a-thon, Time Flies Quilt and Sew will match that donation.
What to bring? Your sewing machine, sewing implements you use (pins, needles, thread, etc) You can find the patterns in the links below to understand the project. Print ahead of time, or we can help. Bring a snack if you wish.
ByAnnie is hosting a very special, six-hour ByAnnie Live with special guests, sewing tutorials, and updates from participating shops.

ByAnnie is partnering with local quilt shops (like Time Flies Quilt and Sew!) to hold in-store events and encourage you to join us in sewing both Bosom Buddies and Mastectomy pillows. Both patterns are available in the Bosom Buddy course.
