Walking foot quilting is an easy and attractive way to quilt our own quilts and other projects such as bags. You can achieve great results with your walking foot.
In this class you will learn the basics of walking foot quilting and some creative ways to quilt with your walking foot. We will cover straight lines, stitching in the ditch, straight lines without marking, quilting curved lines, and quilting with decorative stitches. We will also cover needles, thread, batting, basting your quilt, and machine set up.
You will need to bring your machine with a walking foot or dual feed. Two fat quarters (18" x 22") and batting the same size to make a small quilt sandwich.
You will also need a copy of
Walk by Jacquie Gering. I will reference this book throughout class.
